been living in the states for about five months now and have noticed that runners take far too much water or isotonic drinks on their runs,i noticed a guy the other day had a utility belt with five bottles hanging of it what for?,when i was in marathon training i only used to take one to two bottles with me and some change to buy some if that run out which it never, far too much time on rehydration and not enough on a quality run without a rucksack swinging of your back, example on a ten mile road race you might see two to three drinks stations giving out small plastic cups of water more than enough to finish the race, rehydrate on the days before the race and just before you start and you will find that you will only need minimal refreshment during the race, too much water will lead to stomach cramps and frequent bathroom breaks,so ditch the bottles and run a lot more comfortable than you would think,
i feel thirsty now

road running shoes
personally i have used asics for about eight years now and have had no problems except the toes seem to wear thin on top of the fabric and sometimes create a hole on the top, maybe i should cut my toenails more, but seriously they give me more cushion and comfort considering i hammer down on the pavement, and they are pretty wide fitting as well,

runners mind
In all runners there is this one thing that makes us different to all other human beings that is we do and they dont plain and simple you either run or you dont run nothing in between,if you occasionaly run you still run if you have stopped running you are no longer a runner, you only have to know this after going on a 10mile run at 7:30am on a cold and wet sunday morning regretting getting out of bed but totaly elated when finished and glad you did it,makes you all unique part of an elite band of brothers(and sisters).
